Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled piston fixed wing or rotorcraft A&P and/or IA mechanic looking to get into helicopter maintenance. Must have general aviation and Lycoming experience and have the desire, ability, and willingness to learn helicopter maintenance. The right candidate will be sent to the Robinson Helicopter factory maintenance school.
The position consists of performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, 12 year inspections, 2200 hour overhauls, component overhauls, and used helicopter export services. The candidate must have the willingness and ability to continue training and increasing skills over time. The position has the potential to grow into a Director of Maintenance position as operations grow and personnel are added. For that reason, the candidate must have the personal potential to grow into a management role.
Starting Pay: $50,000 - $60,000
Compensation has the potential to increase as the position transitions from line mechanic to supervisory and management roles.

Old City Helicopter Sales, LLC is the largest broker of used Robinson helicopters in the world, brokering 40+ used helicopters per year. We are also the factory authorized Robinson Helicopter Dealer and Service Center for St. Augustine, FL as well as a Part 145 Repair Station. We are in need of a full time mechanic to service our existing maintenance business and to assist in fully developing the maintenance side of our operations. We have been in business since 2006 and our primary focus has been on new and used sales. We are now looking to develop the full potential of our maintenance operations, by leveraging our unique position in the used Robinson helicopter market, and need just the right person to head up that side of the business.
We are located in St. Augustine, FL (halfway between Jacksonville and Daytona Beach and 2 hours north of Orlando), a tight knit, family-oriented, beachside community with great schools, a relaxed lifestyle, and low cost of living. The owner of the company moved to St. Augustine in 2004 from Massachusetts to set up a tour company (Old City Helicopters, LLC), which now has operations in St. Augustine, Tampa, and Marathon, and is happy to be raising his own family in St. Augustine.
Minimum Skills/Qualifications:
-Licensed A&P Mechanic (willing to complete IA certification)
-Minimum 3 years experience working on R22 and R44
-Authorized to work in the US
Additional Desired Skills/Qualifications:
-Aviation management experience
-Extensive 12 year inspection and 2200 hour overhaul experience
-RHC maintenance course attendance
-RHC component OH course attendance (Session I and II)
-Part 145 experience
-Part 135 experience
-Experience containerizing R22s and R44s
-Experience with issuance of Export Certificates of Airworthiness
